Women & Black Pain - A NABFEME Seminar

  • September 26, 2016
  • 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Pilgrim Cathedral, 15 West 126th Street New York, NY 10027

Ladies, we tend to bear the PAIN of our families, our jobs, our community, our friends, daily lifestyles and so much more!  This can become very overwhelming!  We invite you to "lighten the burden" and join NABFEME New York for a powerful and very informative seminar featuring 3 of the nation's top psychological professionals... Terrie Williams, Dr. Jeff Grader and Dr. Janet Taylor.   In a candid discussion we'll deal with MENTAL PAIN and how it is affecting the African American community, especially women!  We'll also deal with the stigma that continues to make this a "hush-hush" topic. Understanding the challenges that surround emotional health and how to deal with various disorders are among our first solutions. Our experts will discuss the most common types of psychological disorders, how you can help a friend or family member, and we'll share information that will help YOU control your anxiety before it controls YOU!

MODERATOR: Saideh Brown,  President of the National Council of Women of the United States.  Suggested Donation: $5 -- Proceeds benefit Pilgrim Cathedral.
